When I Spent a Night in a Motel with my Girlfriend.

Share
After getting booted out of my sister's apartment, I needed to find me and my friend some place to stay for the night.  We were trying to save as much money as we can for the trip to Bangkok and Cambodia which was then, scheduled tomorrow.  Eight days in our yet most expensive trip to date, two independent girls with limited budget, with no exact place to stay for one awkward night-
we had to settle in a motel.

We entered the nearest motel with our heavy bags at our backs, and were welcomed by the staff who bowed to us as we headed towards the reception area.  We were also welcomed by funny stares of people in the lobby.  You know, acting like they don't really care that we were a "couple".  But you have a hitch that they were thinking, oh my god! girl to girl!  Now who could be the butch of the 2!
We were expecting this.
And by God we were loving each and every second of it! :)

The awkwardness didn't stop there. Choosing how many hours of stay too, discussing it amongst ourselves while other frenzy couples were waiting for their turn to be entertained.  We counted hours to know the check out time and decided on 6 hours.  After which, the recep kindly said,

"Maam would you like to get a bottle of water for P25?"

I immediately glared at my friend, who was by the way, looked really composed.

"Girl you want water?"

"Yes". she bluntly said.

In my head, I was like.  Oh my Goooddd! Water because we might get thirsty after doing something dirtteeyy! hahahaha

"Make it 2".  She added

Deep inside, I was just laughing, but you know my eyes said it all.

Oh geezz! That friend of mine! She surprises me sometimes.

So we were given the keys to our suite. :)

When the elevator opened, a couple went out.  My friend, Ivy, in her bold and crazy mood, I must say, said as a command.

"Come on over, and make it quick."

I immediately picked up what she was trying to do. And so I acted like a submissive dog, said:

"Yes, maam." As I sheepishly followed her inside the elevator.

I would pay a dime just to see that couple's expression after that!

And as soon as the door of the elevator closes, we were both laughing loudly.

Oh that was fun! hahaha

When we got in our room, she screamed.

"Oh my gosh, there's a mirror at the ceiling!  Both of us were new to this, so we were exploring the place with great interest.

We then took pics of us, as we were reminded that shot in a local movie, No Other Woman.

Too bad there's no guy in between, would've been more fun! hehehe

A first!

So many firsts to do, so little time.  And the trip hadn't started yet!

We knew that things will go more and more exciting after that.

And you know what?

We were right! :)

We unconsciously brought the bottle of water with us after check out, carrying it as we were trying to look for a place to have breakfast.  Yes, you know, the bottle of water, with the label of the motel sticked to it and all!

Hmmm... no wonder people in KFC were staring at us.  I thought they just found us pretty.

Have a great and crazy life people!

There's nothing quite as fun as taking advantage of an 'awkward' situation, and running with it, turning the awkwardness towards people watching. Nothing like making memories for yourself, and for others.

Seeing and seizing the opportunity for fun is why you will continue to have adventures wherever you travel. Even in unlikely destinations like the breakfast table at KFC.

Great pictures. I'm sure the rest of your journey will be just as much fun.
