I cannot count the times that my friend, Ivy, asked me if I borrowed it. As always I said no, because it's true. I haven't. I have already read the book years before I've met her, so it will be useless for me to read it again. To be quite honest, I didn't have a nice experience reading it. I always get confused if I have to take it figuratively or literally, and it almost always lead me to a headache. So, I gave up on that book a long time ago. Besides it wouldn't hurt if I wouldn't appreciate it, besides he has billions of fans worldwide who are crazy about it.
This Alchemist thing had gotten weird for me when Rai, my other friend, told me that all Alchemist owners she knew lost their copies. She told me that after telling her about Ivy's.
Hmmm, isn't that interesting. Was is it a case of forgetful book owners who lost memory as to who borrowed their book or was there a strange, hocus-pocus mystery behind this incident.

I agree to that! I was half way through the book; bored of it actually, desperately trying to finish it because I started, thinking why people told me it was a must read and one morning I woke up and found the book was lost. True story. No matter how hyped this book is, I do not find it that great. Do you Shy?
@vijith: I actually had a migraine reading it... I get confused if a statement was meant to be taken figuratively or literally... so that battle went on from start 'til end. It was friggin tiring and frustrating! hahaha
Well, at least, you finished the whole book. I read around 40 pages and gave up.
Vijith: haha, I was actually searching for the part where I would have an AHA moment.. I guess there was but it didn't really stick out that much. I had more trouble than relief.
hmm... i will also partially agree with you... there are different portions and aspects of the story and sometime one get bored, but since had started it so had to finish the book :)
@Huzaifa: exactly! sometimes the journey gets boring, you just want to know what happened in the end. :)
