Don't you notice how some reporters could sometimes ask the most stupid of questions?
Incident: 3 family members died in the house fire. The father is the only survivor. And then the reporter would ask the question...
How are you feeling?
Uhmmm wait let me figure it out. Give me a minute here...

Thank you.
That is just the same as asking Are you alright? after having fallen from a 2-storey building.
If it isn't the most obvious and insensitive question you could ever ask? The guy's feelings should be aching! Aching is even an understatement. His heart would've been bursting like a volcano for all the remorse and pain. And this reporter asking him about his feelings... drawing his attention to his emotional wounds like saying...
Sir you are bleeding. You are dripping with blood and it's all over your heart periphery and now dripping down your left sleeve. Sir.
The guy ain't blind. The guy ain't numb. I hate to break it to you Mr. reporter sir, but he knows it.
He's undergoing an emotional hemorrhage for crying out loud.
Leave the man alone!
And if that's not enough, they would sometimes do a follow up question.
What would you do now, now that your precious 2 1/2 old baby, your gorgeous wife, and your beautiful daughter are all DEAD and all charred up and you wouldn't ever see them again?
... Like EVER?!
Seriously??!!
Are you really gonna go there?
Times like this, I want to slit my wrist open.
It's so wrong!
Even Kyon, god of face palms, even agrees with me...

I mean, I am so repulsively disgusted by this that I am left with no choice but to throw in the
ULTIMATE FACEPALM!
BOOOOOOMMM!

But d'you know who is the only one happy about these questions?
The girl who answered Elephants?
because she's glad to know that there's a person dumber than her???? Source |
Close but not the answer...
It's none other than the...
THE JOKER
because you know, these questions are jokes, and you know, joker ... uh whatever.

I quite agree. Saw another example of this the other day. A woman was doorstepped by a news crew, who wanted to get her reaction on her child's murderer turning himself in. Now, she may have overreacted a little (what with the rocks, the pit bulls, and the baseball bat) but I quite understand her fury. I would have told them to f@#k off too.

@dale cooper: oh wow, saw the vid... that was pretty something. I share the same views with you to a tee. Thanks for putting a link on there. :)
No problem, sorry that I appear to have screwed up the format on the link.
Yes, I heard about that vid too. Somebody pointed out that there's no way they would have tried that in an affluent white neighbourhood.
Reporters really do overdose on the Dumb sometimes.
@BigD: I think race aside, anyone who had just lost a loved one, would get easily pissed if a reporter would incessantly request for an interview with you. Notice in the video that even after the mother protested against it, they were still there waiting at their front yard and stubbornly refused to leave. If I were she, I would've done the same thing, or maybe worse. :)
